Year 5 have been reading the book ‘What Do You Do With An Idea?’, which is the story of one brilliant idea and the child who helps to bring it into the world. As the child's confidence grows, so does the idea itself. And then, one day, something amazing happens! We watched a dance based on the book and then created our own version!
On Friday 9th March we wore yellow for World Mental Health Day. We looked at a passage from the Bible: The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. (Deuteronomy 31:8). We talked about how to keep healthy, physically and mentally, and how God is always there for us. Since we can’t sing, here is a video of us ‘singing’ a song about this Bible passage through actions!
As you watch the video ask yourself the following questions: Does the rock allow water to pass through? (permeable) Is the rock hard wearing? (durable) Do you think it would sink or float? (high or low density) Is the rock hard or soft? Is the rock igneous, sedimentary or metamorphic? Do you notice anything else about the rocks? How does the rock change when water is poured on to it? After, you may wish to go on a walk and see what kind of rocks you can find.

Hello new Year Twos. Thank you very much for inviting me to read you a story last week. I hope you enjoyed it. This is just a short video to tell you a little bit about year 2. In September we will have plenty of time to ask each other questions and to find out more about each other. Have a lovely Summer. Miss Watson
